Gazipaşa Agricultural Fair Opened for the 15th Time

The Gazipaşa Agriculture Fair, organized in the Gazipaşa district of Antalya, opened its doors to visitors for the 15th time this year. The fair, held every two years in cooperation between the Gazipaşa Kaymakamlık, Gazipaşa Municipality, and the Gazipaşa Agriculture Culture, Tourism, and Aid Association, was ceremonially opened by the municipality at the fairgrounds. In his speech at the opening, Kaymakam Hasan Uğuz said that the district is a very important center with agricultural production taking place over an area of 17 thousand hectares. Noting that 210 thousand tons of vegetables are grown in the district annually, Uğuz said, "We are also a strategic production base for the country in terms of tropical fruits such as bananas, avocados, and mangoes.
