Georgia's Ministry of Economy has initiated a lead generation program to strengthen connections between local blueberry producers and foreign buyers, with a goal to export 500 tons of blueberries to the European Union and the UK. This initiative, a collaboration between Enterprise Georgia, the US Agency for International Development Agricultural Program, and the Rural Development Agency of the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture, aims to expand international market opportunities. According to Agenda.ge, the program has already seen some of the blueberry batch being exported. Meanwhile, there's an intriguing trend of a significant increase in both Georgia's blueberry exports and Ukrainian blueberry imports, with Georgia's imports ranking it as the third largest market for Ukrainian blueberries after Poland and the Netherlands.
