Germany finances MZN 3 billion for agribusiness in Mozambique

The Government of Germany recently announced the availability of over three billion meticais for the development of agribusiness in Mozambique, in an initiative that reinforces the role of external financing in the revitalization of productive sectors considered strategic for the national economy. The support will be channeled through the "Innovative Fund for Agribusiness" program, a financial mechanism that, according to official information, will be operated by the Zambezi Valley Development Agency in coordination with the Bank of Mozambique. The adopted model is based on the granting of credit with subsidized interest rates, a solution designed to reduce the cost of financing and expand access to capital for agricultural producers and companies.
