Germany increases meal exports

Exports of both canola and soybean meal increased significantly year-over-year from July to November 2023. The goods were mainly sold to other EU countries. According to the German Federal Statistical Office, Germany produced a total of 783,000 tonnes of rapeseed meal between July and November 2023, an increase of around 30% compared to the same period last year. Exports of soybean meal also increased during this period, although less significantly. With 738,000 tons, the Federal Republic delivered about 8% more than in July-November 2022. German rapeseed meal, according to a study by the Agricultural Market Information Society (MBH), is mainly exported to other EU countries. As in previous years, the main buyer is the Netherlands.
