Geumsan County conducts regular safety inspections of agricultural reservoirs

The Gunsan County announced that it has completed the 4th quarter regular safety inspection of 82 agricultural reservoirs within the county on the 29th. The county conducted this regular safety inspection of the reservoirs from November 26 to December 24. In order to carry out the inspection in a professional and systematic manner, the Gunsan County signed a commission and entrustment agreement with the Korea Rural Community Corporation, a specialized institution for managing agricultural infrastructure, in January of last year. Considering the seasonal characteristics and climate change of the reservoirs, safety inspections are conducted once every quarter. The main inspection items include whether there is subsidence or leakage in the dikes, the operational status of the water intake facilities, and whether there are cracks or leaks in the inflow and outflow channels.
