Moreover, between 2014 and 2024, international purchases of frozen fruit registered an average annual growth of +5.5%, reaching a historical high of US$ 8,068 million in 2022. The United States ranked as the world's top buyer of frozen fruit, accounting for 17.4% of imports (US$ 1,341 million), with purchases mainly of frozen strawberries, blueberries, and mangoes. China, on the other hand, came in second, with purchases amounting to US$ 960 million (12.4% of the total). Following them were Germany (9.3% of the total), France (6%), Canada (4.2%), Belgium (4.2%), the Netherlands (4%), Japan (3.6%), Poland (3.5%), Thailand (3.1%), and others (32.3%).
