The State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa) has launched a project called "Promotion of Quality Cachaça in Minas Gerais" to encourage the legalization of cachaça production and reduce the sector's clandestinity. The project will include efforts such as encouraging regularization, organizing institutional events and lectures on health education and technical training, as well as business roundtables in Minas Gerais and internationally. The project aims to update the legislation regulating cachaça production in Minas Gerais and assist cachaça producers in joining the formal sector and producing high-quality cachaça.
