Argentina has successfully secured permission to export poultry, pork, and beef with bone, as well as offal to the Philippines, a market witnessing increased consumption. This achievement includes the recognition of the equivalence of Argentina's control and certification system, which will expedite future authorizations. The success stems from intensive negotiations throughout the year, supported by various ministries and embassies, following two delegation visits from the Philippines to verify Argentina's meat production controls. The Philippines, which imported over $1.75 billion worth of meat and by-products in 2023, is facing a surge in meat imports, which rose by 17% from January to October of the same year.
