Guinea: Inputs to farmers for better production

The Bank's country manager in Guinea, Léandre Bassolé, the Guinean Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Mamoudou Nagnalen Barry, local authorities from the prefectures of Kindia and Forécariah, as well as representatives of several agricultural groups attended at the ceremony. Mr. Bassolé welcomed the enthusiasm of Guinean farmers upon receiving the inputs, encouraging them to make good use of them to increase their production. He also welcomed the commitment of the Guinean authorities who have made agriculture a sector that brings hope both in terms of food security and the creation of jobs and entrepreneurship for young people and women. “We express our gratitude to the African Development Bank Group for its support of Guinea's development efforts in general and support to the agricultural sector in particular,” said Minister Barry.
