The hailstorm that struck last Thursday over Lleida has damaged 1,120 hectares of sweet fruit in the Segrià and Noguera regions and has affected up to 60% of production in some farms in Alguaire and Almenar. The sweet fruit crop, already in harvest, is the most damaged, with high impacts on the municipality of Alguaire, where it had already hailed a month ago, and in previously unaffected fields, damages this time could have reached between 40% and 60% of the harvest, the Agriculture Department reported this Friday. In cereal crops, technicians have not observed very significant damage.
