The first harvest of Derepazarı mandarins, named after the district in Rize where they are grown, has begun. The most delicious mandarins in Rize are harvested in the Derepazarı district. Renowned throughout Turkey for their aroma and natural quality, Derepazarı mandarins have started their first harvest and are beginning to appear on stalls. Citizens living in Derepazarı and nearby areas of İyidere district have been harvesting the mandarins, which have been offered to customers on stalls set up along the Black Sea Coastal Road for years. While mandarins cost 7.50 TL per kilogram from the producer, they are sold on stalls for 35 TL per kilogram.
