The stagnation in the hazelnut market continues with no change in prices in the free market in Ordu, trading between 44 and 44.50 TL for hazelnuts with 50 yields. The Turkish Grain Board will cease the appointment system for hazelnuts by the end of November, and the TMO will end its hazelnut purchases by the end of December. So far, the TMO has purchased 150 thousand in-shell hazelnuts from over 50 purchasing centers. There are concerns among producers about the potential impact on the market when the TMO stops purchasing hazelnuts, with fears that prices could drop below 40 liras in traders. AK Party Giresun Deputy Cemal Öztürk expressed satisfaction with the current hazelnut policies and the Turkish Grain Board's management of the market at the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee.
