Recently Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the exports of dehydrated Mohua Flower from Chhattisgarh & Himalayan goat meat from Uttarakhand to France & United Arab Emirates respectively. For promoting the exotic fruits like dragon fruit exports, APEDA organized a promotional event at Saudi Arabia market. For the very first time, a consignment of dehydrated Mohua flower was exported via sea to France from Chhattisgarh. The produce was sourced from the forest in Korba district, Chhattisgarh & processed by APEDA registered enterprise. Mohua flowers exported to the France were collected mostly by tribal population from the forest of Korba, Surguja, Pali, Kathghora, Pasan, Churri in Chhattisgarh. Dehydrated Mohua flowers are used for making liquor, syrup & medicine.
