It points out, as the main conclusion, that "honey production and consumption in Spain are growing, although the number of operations and the number of hives are decreasing." The report states: "Honey production in Spain in the 2024 campaign exceeded thirty-three thousand tons. This is a figure twenty percent higher than that of 2023 and presents a level similar to that recorded in 2021. This increase occurs after two consecutive campaigns (2022 and 2023) with historic lows in production, caused by intense periods of drought.
