More than half of our September shipments of apples outside the EU went to Egypt. The Indians also bought more. How many apples did we sell in September? The beginning of October is the time when we can summarize the non-EU export of Polish apples (data on intra-EU export have not yet been published). According to PIORiN, last month we sent apples to 19 countries. There were a total of 11.1 thousand tons. This is significantly more than two years ago and less than a year ago. It is worth remembering that the good results from last year were due to the early start of the harvest. As a result, by the middle of the month, our offer was large and quite diverse in terms of varieties. The results can be assessed positively, but we must also be aware that the entire September result is equivalent to the monthly purchases of Belarusian or Egyptian importers from 6–8 years ago.
