The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Huánuco in Peru is implementing an Economic Reactivation Plan to boost the production of granadilla, avocado, and green tea in the region. The avocado project, which aims to benefit over 2,800 producers, was paused due to COVID-19 but has now resumed, with a budget of S/ 729,672.00 for 2020. The granadilla project, with a budget of S/ 4'542,970.17 over three years, will provide technical assistance and support to over 2,000 producers. The green tea project, with a budget of S/ 4'257,214.00, aims to benefit over 7,000 families in the Leoncio Prado province. Additionally, a cacao project, with a budget of S/ 4'188,544.24, will be executed in 49 villages to improve the cocoa value chain and benefit 1,096 thousand families.
