Iberplum plums confirm their excellent fruit set in Chile

The Andes New Varieties Administration, ANA Chile®, presented to producers and industry representatives the fruit set of the innovative range of plums from the Spanish Ibergen® genetic program. The entity reported that the varieties, which have demonstrated a very good performance in evaluations in Chile, have captivated due to their high productivity, excellent flavor and attractive appearance. David Negueroles, breeder of the Ibergen® genetic program, shared his experience and answered questions from those present, further enriching the activity. The attendees had the opportunity to visit an evaluation orchard established in Olivar Bajo in the O'Higgins Region, with a fourth leaf and which, like previous years, presented high floribundity, reflected in the high fruit set that could be seen during the visit.
