Implementation of Regulation EUDR 2023/1115: The Challenge of Legality and Traceability for Argentine Agriculture

The EUDR Regulation represents a paradigmatic change for countries that export products such as soy, meat, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and timber to the European Union. This new legislation requires importing companies to demonstrate, through a due diligence declaration, that their products have not been cultivated on deforested lands after December 31, 2020. For Argentina, with a robust trade in agricultural and livestock commodities, adaptation is imperative. The workshop, scheduled for December 16 at 9:00 AM at the SRA headquarters in CABA, will bring together academic experts, technicians, and private sector actors. The main objective is to dissect current challenges and the necessary practices for national production to align with these new international requirements on deforestation-free products.
