(Agraria.pe) Between January and October of 2025, imports of fresh and frozen chicken meat reached 77,183 tons, showing an increase of 25.1% compared to the 61,700 tons acquired in the same period of 2024, according to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri). Furthermore, as of October, our country imported fresh and frozen chicken meat for US$ 130,083,000, reflecting a growth of 22.9% compared to the US$ 105,884,000 reported in 2024. Regarding the price of fresh or frozen chicken meat, it averaged US$ 1,685 per ton, registering a drop of -1.8% compared to the US$ 1,716 observed between January and October of 2024.
