Imports of agricultural products to Ukraine increased by 19%

According to the State Statistics Service, in January-September 2021, more than $ 5.7 billion worth of agricultural products were imported to Ukraine, which is $ 0.9 billion (+ 19%) more than in the first nine months of last year. This is stated in the message of the National Research Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics". The main suppliers of agri-food products to Ukraine are the countries of the European Union. Imports from the region amounted to $ 2.3 billion, or more than half of purchases. In Asia, Ukraine purchased food worth $ 1.03 billion (18%), and in Latin America - $ 477 million (8%). Deliveries from these three regions cover almost 4/5 of all domestic imports of agricultural products.
