In 2023, 1.5 thousand hectares will be sown with industrial hemp in Ukraine

In Ukraine, 11 economic entities grew hemp in 2022. The total area is 1,834 hectares. This was announced during the online meeting "Industrial hemp for victory and sustainable development" by Dr. Oleg Primakov of the Department of Scientific Research on Intellectual Property and Marketing Innovations of the Research Station of Bask Crops, writes UkrAgroConsult. "Not all companies have given us information about their plantations, but we are targeting a total area of about 2,000 hectares. The largest amount of hemp is grown in Sumy (308 hectares), Chernihiv (420 hectares) and Zhytomyr regions (119 hectares).
