Ukraine has continued to export apples to Belarus despite a rise in demand, focusing on diversifying its markets in 2022. It has also shipped apples to Ethiopia for the second month in a row in 2022, but there has been a slight decrease in exports compared to January 2021. As of January 2022, France and Turkey were the leading suppliers of apples to Ethiopia, with Ukraine ranking among the top five. The export of Ukrainian apples to Ethiopia is expected to face competition with the upcoming harvest of South African apples.
