Tajikistan's Minister of Agriculture, Sulaimon Ziyozoda, has announced plans to achieve food independence for the country. He highlighted an increase in meat production and optimistic indicators for the production of meat, milk, eggs, cereals, vegetables, and fruits. Ziyozoda also shared that the price of carrots has dropped significantly after a reduction in sowing due to last year's oversupply. In the first half of 2021, Tajikistan produced over 650,000 vegetables, including about 60,000 tons of carrots, and exported over 110,000 tons of vegetables to neighboring countries.
