The Amur Region in Russia is planning to produce 1.71 million tons of soybeans in 2023, marking a 10% increase from the previous year, as reported by the region's governor, Vasily Orlov. This is due to improved sowing and an increase in the sown area compared to the previous year. The region also aims to process 75% of the soybeans grown, up from 365 thousand tons in 2022, with the help of a new plant in Belogorsk built by the Sodruzhestvo group of companies. Soyingrowing is a key part of the region's economy and in 2021, agricultural products from the Amur Region were exported to 10 countries, with China being the main importer.
