In the sunflower market, active changes in prices are being observed in the first days of February 2026. Thus, delivering a tonne of the product on a delivery-to-port basis currently costs $689 — $4 more than a week ago. This is reported by analysts at Spike Brokers. The price increase began simultaneously with the strengthening of domestic demand for raw materials from leading processors. They are now actively concluding contracts for February. As of January, only 6,000 tonnes of seeds were delivered from Ukraine abroad. The reason is active domestic consumption and favorable processing prices. Export of seeds directly is minimal, as about 97% of the crop is processed within the country. For the first four months of the 2025/26 season, seed exports amounted to only 12,000 tonnes, which is the lowest figure in the last 20 years.
