Paraguay: Income from peanut shipments quintupled as of February

Paraguayan peanut exports grew 307% until February. According to the BCP registry, 2,190 tons were shipped, that is, 1,652 tons more than the same period last year, when 538 tons of Paraguayan product were shipped. At the income level, peanut exports generated USD 3.1 million at the end of the second month of the year, an interannual increase of USD 2.4 million (407%), compared to the record for the same period in 2023 when USD 612,000 were received. . The price of peanuts increased 25% in the first two months, since the Paraguayan product was sold at USD 1,418 per ton, while in the same period of the previous year it had reached USD 1,137 per ton.
