Indonesia is working to decrease its reliance on poultry seed imports through the development of local poultry seeds by PT Putra Perkasa Genetika (PPG), as highlighted by the Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health (PKH), Agung Suganda. PPG has successfully stopped the import of duck seeds, showing that Indonesia can produce high-quality poultry seeds. The government is designing an integrated poultry farming cluster to streamline the process from seeds to product processing, hoping to boost the local economy. PPG is encouraged to provide more quality poultry seeds to meet market demand, with its facilities meeting international standards and producing seeds in large quantities for various types of poultry.
