Industrial farms increase milk production amid a double-digit drop in milk yields from the population.

The reduction in raw milk production in Ukraine is due to private peasant farms. The industrial sector compensates for the share of production despite the unfavorable market situation and the consequences of the war, reports analyst of the Milk Producers Association Georgiy Kukhaleishvili. According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Service, in October 2025, farms of all categories produced 567 thousand tons of raw milk, which is 45 thousand tons (-7%) less than in September 2025 and 29 thousand tons (-5%) less than in October 2024. From January to October 2025, milk production volumes in Ukraine amounted to 5.87 million tons, which is 271 thousand tons (-4%) less than in the same period last year. In October 2025, the share of enterprises in raw milk production was 47%, and that of household farms was 53%.
