Over 100 inspections of food and product transport to agricultural markets in 14 cities have been conducted by road transport inspectors and the Agricultural and Food Quality Inspectorate (IJHARS). The inspections led to the retention of several registration certificates of technically inoperative vehicles, fines for drivers, and administrative proceedings. The most severe case involved a Turkish driver from a German transport company who was detained for improper food transport and unfair competition, resulting in a ban on further driving and a fine of PLN 12,000. The inspections aim to ensure fair competition and quality of food, particularly of foreign origin, and will continue in the following months.
