The Volgograd region of Russia has exported nearly 754 thousand tons of grain products to 28 countries, with Iran being the largest buyer, accounting for 48% of the total volume, or about 422 thousand tons, mainly wheat, chickpeas, and corn. Azerbaijan and Latvia were the next biggest buyers, purchasing 16% and 14% of the exports, respectively. The exports consisted of 41% corn, 10% wheat, 15% barley, 8.3% soybeans, and smaller quantities of chickpeas, millet, sorghum, lentils, and oilseeds.
