Türkiye İş Bankası, on the occasion of the 15th of October World Rural Women's Day, brought together entrepreneurial and farmer women who contribute to agricultural production in different regions of Turkey at the "Women's Power: Agriculture of the Future" event. The United Nations (UN) has been celebrating World Rural Women's Day every year on October 15th since 2008 to highlight the critical role of rural women farmers in agricultural production, rural development, and ensuring food security. The stories of rural women farmers, who include their surroundings in production and also contribute to the development of their village, district, or city, will become even more important in 2025, which has been declared the "Year of Cooperatives" by the UN in reference to the importance of joint production and solidarity.
