The Erdemli district in Mersin, Turkey, has seen its first harvest of the apricot waterfall, a fruit previously dropped by trees and collected by farmers for dilution. After being discovered for its sour and delicious taste, it has become a high added value fruit, now sold for 100 TL per kilogram. The apricot waterfall, also popular among pregnant women, has started to be harvested 20 days ago due to warmer weather and is sent to major cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
