This agreement aims to establish a breeding, slaughter, and distribution system for 'Jangsu Hanwoo' based on low-carbon principles to enhance brand value and income for livestock farmers. Jeonbuk National University, the Mujin Livestock Cooperative, and Etibiotech will develop low-methane breeding stock and feeding management technology, and the Jangsu branch of the National Hanwoo Association will raise Jangsu Hanwoo based on this. Boksu will establish a low-carbon slaughter and processing system, and Jangsu Agricultural Cooperative and Janggye Agricultural Cooperative will be in charge of promoting and securing sales channels for 'low-carbon Jangsu Hanwoo'. Jangsu County's 'low-carbon Hanwoo industry district' development project is a project to foster a Hanwoo industry that minimizes carbon emissions through the development of low-carbon breeding stock and feed technology, the establishment of a low-carbon feeding management system, the advancement of slaughterhouses and processing centers, and the construction of a low-carbon distribution and sales platform. A total of 28.9 billion won will be invested by 2030.
