Cabinet decision on approval proposal Japan-UK EPA aiming to take effect at the beginning of the year

The government approved a proposal for approval of an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with the United Kingdom, which was generally agreed in April and September. Same contents as the European Union (EU) and EPA regarding reduction and elimination of product tariffs. Submitted to the extraordinary parliament and approved within the session. The UK EPA is aiming to take effect on January 1st next year. The UK EPA did not set an import quota for 25 items that had an import quota in the European EPA.
