The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan has developed recommendations for alcohol consumption, advising women to drink no more than 20 grams of pure alcohol per day and men no more than 40 grams. Exceeding these limits can lead to health risks and alcoholism. A study by Kirin found that the Asian region, including Japan, has been leading in beer consumption for 14 years, accounting for about 31.4% of global consumption in 2021.
