Kazakhstan has increased the export of sunflower oil in the face of restrictions

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in September-April 2021/22 MY, exports of sunflower oil (unrefined and refined) from Kazakhstan increased by 33% compared to the same period of the previous season and amounted to 96 thousand tons. At the same time, in April, deliveries doubled compared to April 2021, amounting to 20 thousand tons. The increase in exports was mainly due to the growth in supplies to China. The top three importers of Kazakh butter have remained unchanged since the beginning of the season. At the same time, Uzbekistan, with a share of 40%, reduced purchases to 39 thousand tons (-8% compared to the period September-April of the 2020/21 season).
