Kentucky farmers are wrapping up their harvest activities, with soybeans nearly all harvested and tobacco mostly stripped. Winter wheat is progressing well, with a majority of it planted and emerged, and rated as good to excellent. However, the dry weather during the fall has had lingering effects on pasture conditions, and hay stocks are lower than normal, with a significant percentage categorized as very short or short. Additionally, topsoil moisture is deemed adequate, while subsoil moisture is also rated as mostly adequate.
