The South Korean government is planning to export 101 Korean dairy cows, seedlings, and cow semen for artificial insemination to Nepal, in a bid to support the Himalayan nation's dairy industry. This is the first time Korea has provided such support overseas. The cows will be given to small farmers in a Nepalese model dairy farming village, and the ministry will provide training and manage specifications through a mobile app. The ministry has been discussing export quarantine for this project since June and concluded the negotiations in November.
