March weather anomalies - prolonged rains and the subsequent cold weather are already behind us, hot and dry weather has been established in Uzbekistan since the beginning of April. In the first two weeks of April 2022, another seasonal novelty appeared on the shelves of the country's supermarkets - kuksultan, rhubarb and mulberry, according to EasrFruit experts. On April 3-4, 2022, Makro and Korzinka supermarket chains announced the start of sales of kuksultan (or Kuk sultan - a variety of small plum or cherry plum) in the stores of these chains located in the capital of Uzbekistan. The price for this product ranged from 9990 to 13 699 soums per 100 grams, i.e. from 99,990 to 136,990 sum/kg (from 8.76 to 12.01 $/kg). Last year, this fruit appeared on the shelves of Makro supermarkets also in early April, but at a price almost 2 times lower - at 6,199 soums per 100 grams, i.e. at 61,990 sum/kg ($5.9/kg).
