The article highlights a significant achievement by the small producers of Incahuasi, a high Andean district in Lambayeque, Peru, who have exported 6 tons of dehydrated edible mushrooms (Suillus Luteus) to Hamburg, Germany, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. This marks the district's first international shipment and is part of a larger effort to improve the livelihoods of local producers by providing access to necessary services and promoting economic growth. The export, valued at S/ 150,000, was facilitated by local commercial coordinators, Agroexportadoras Suma Yapu S.A.C. and Agroexportaciones San Pablo S.A.C., and marks the beginning of a project aimed at exporting at least 20 tons of mushrooms, in addition to other products like aguaymanto, chamomile, rosemary, and trout, to countries such as Germany, Brazil, and Japan, in order to further boost the income of local producers and stimulate the local economy.
