Lidl has withdrawn a batch of Norwegian smoked salmon with pistachio from the Deluxe brand, manufactured by Compagnia del Mare, from its stores in the Canary Islands due to possible contamination with the bacteria listeria monocytogenes. The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) has specified that it concerns batch LC22606501, packaged in a 100-gram plastic blister, with an expiration date of 18/04/26 and refrigerated. Although the initial distribution was in the Canary Islands, redistributions to other autonomous communities cannot be ruled out, according to Aesan. People who have the affected products at home are advised to refrain from consuming them. In case of having consumed any of the products from the affected lots and presenting symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea, or fever), it is recommended to go to a health center.
