Producers of fresh vine from Mendoza and San Juan who wish to sell in provinces other than Patagonia, Cuyo, and the Northwest can register for the Integrated Measures System (SMI) of the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa) by July 19. The SMI allows for the marketing of fresh grapes without quarantine treatment, requiring phytosanitary control measures and the use of authorized products. Additionally, producers can register for the phytosanitary measures for Risk Mitigation (SMR) to export grapes to Brazil without using methyl bromide, but they must first be registered in the SMI. Registrations can be done remotely or in person, and more information can be obtained by email or by visiting the local Senasa office.
