In August, sugar imports in my country surged to 382 million US dollars, a 66.72% increase from the previous year, with the import volume rising by 109.64% to 767,300 tons. Over the first eight months, total sugar imports amounted to 1.397 billion US dollars, up 69.21%, with a volume of 2.4901 million tons, a 58.18% increase. The top ten sources, including Brazil, South Korea, and El Salvador, accounted for 99.58% of imports. Brazil was the largest supplier, with imports worth 1.189 billion US dollars, a 112.54% increase year-on-year, and 360 million US dollars in August, a 74.70% rise.
