In this Thursday's (12th) episode of the "The Protagonist" series from Giro do Boi, we meet Marisa Iório, a passionate breeder who gave voice and prestige to a previously overlooked lineage. At the head of Haras Lagoinha, in Jacareí (SP), she is responsible for consolidating the Mangalarga Pampa as a symbol of beauty and functionality in national horse breeding. Marisa started with just one horse. Four decades later, her stud farm became the third largest Mangalarga breeding facility in Brazil, pioneering the appreciation of the pampa coat within the breed.
