Indonesia's National Logistics Agency has announced a bid for 500,000 tons of imported rice, with 300,000 tons coming from Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and 200,000 tons from Pakistan. This increase in purchasing has allowed Indonesia to surpass China as the second-largest buyer of Vietnamese rice. Additionally, the Philippines has resumed its rice imports from Vietnam after a month-long suspension due to a price ceiling, signaling a favorable market for Vietnamese rice exports.
