In June 2024, exports of refrigerated and frozen beef reached nearly 57.1 thousand tons with a value of about 211.0 million dollars, marking a 2.1% increase in volume but a 6.6% decrease in value compared to the same period in 2023. The first six months of 2024 saw a 13.1% increase in exported volumes compared to the same period in 2023, but a 0.6% increase in value. The People's Republic of China is the largest market for these exports, accounting for 76.3% of the volume in June 2024 and 76.1% of the total volume in the first six months of 2024. The average price of boneless meat sales to China in June 2024 was around US$3,280 per ton, marking a significant decrease from the peak in May 2022. Exports of offal and beef-based preparations totaled 9.1 thousand tons in June 2024, and the average export price of these products was slightly above US$1,600 per ton.
