Border traders in Myanmar are experiencing a surge in demand for medicinal goat eggs from Thailand, due to its effectiveness in preventing the Kovic virus. Despite low domestic trade, the demand is so high that traders are now sourcing them directly from Karen State in Myanmar. The goat eggs, also known as Ka Chai, are usually harvested from June to June and bought in July. Currently, they are being sold at 1,200 kyats per pound and traders are paying 1,300 kyats per pound.
