The event featured the release of a National Lottery ticket to emphasize the fruit's significance. From 2018 to 2023, apple production in Mexico surged by 23.5%, with key production areas in Chihuahua, Coahuila, Puebla, and Durango. Mexico is the 18th largest apple producer globally, mainly exporting to the United States. Technological advancements have enhanced cultivation, and 13 apple varieties are registered. The National Lottery issued 2.4 million tickets for an October 20 draw, promoting the event with a grand prize of seven million pesos.
