Mexico will renovate 34 agricultural product systems with support from IICA

Mexico City, Sep 21 (EFE) .- The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) of Mexico will renew 34 agricultural product systems in the country with the support of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the international organization reported Tuesday . "IICA will help design policies on governance of strategic agri-food chains, such as coffee and rice, to promote post-covid economic reactivation in Mexico," said Diego Montenegro, IICA representative in Mexico, in a statement. Product systems (SP) are a strategy of the Mexican government to develop an organizational structure that integrates the links of the production chains and strengthens the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, the bulletin stated.
