The maximum milk price, including the Tuurlijk! surcharge, comes to 47.73 euros this month. For April, the fat price is 5.75 euros per kilo and the protein price 4.42 euros. The milk price applies to an annual delivery of 1,100,000 kilos of milk with 4.49 percent fat and 3.57 percent protein. With the increase in the milk price, the cheese manufacturer is following the trend that was already seen at other dairy companies, such as FrieslandCampina and A-Ware. Those companies also increased their milk price. Arla, with which DOC Kaas wants to merge, keeps the price almost the same. The price increase comes at a time when dairy quotations are actually falling again and the rise in prices on the world market also seems to be over.
